Founded in 2003, Quadrant Construction Inc. is an unlimited licensed Commercial Construction company. Quadrant has grown to become one of Eastern North Carolina’s most respected commercial contracting firms.
Quadrants successful entry into the commercial construction industry is due to the experience of the four partners who have extensive backgrounds in both residential and commercial construction combine with their pursuit to achieve on-time delivery and complete customer satisfaction without sacrificing quality or safety.
Meet The PartnersDanny Whaley, Partner
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 1971 with a degree in Business Administration, he began his construction career as a Job Cost Accountant with Westminster Company, a subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company.
Mr. Whaley's career was long and vast with Westminster. He was quickly transferred to the construction department as a Purchasing Agent and Estimator in the single-family home department.
Danny was quickly promoted to Area Project Manager where he was responsible for all facets of construction throughout the eastern North Carolina region. While in this position, he had complete oversight for numerous section-8 multi-family housing projects along with many group homes.
During this time, Danny supervised one of the most formidable and most successful projects of his career, the renovation of 600 houses located at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This project took considerable planning and a 'hands on approach' to accomplish both on-time completion through exceptional construction management skills and job costing. This type of job performance and devotion advanced Mr. Whaley even further up the corporate ladder to his last position with Westminster as Vice President for the Eastern North Carolina region.
After Brynn Marr Homes, a division of W.T. Humphrey Construction Group acquired much of the property owned by Westminster, Mr. Whaley accepted a position with Brynn Marr Homes where he continued his career for ten more years in the home building sector helping to complete an extensive Westminster/Brynn Marr subdivision.
In 2002, after supervising the building of over 2000 homes, Danny made the decision to partner with James Maides and Elijah Morton to create Carolina South Builders, Inc., now a very successful and reputable residential construction firm.
Today, Danny's role in Quadrant Construction, Inc. is to offer guidance to the managing partners when necessary to ensure absolute quality construction and on-time completion.
